NEW IN April :)

Hello! April is at an end and I must say I was actually really doing good this month, didn't spend much money on cosmetics at all! Therefore this post will be much shorter and will include a lot less products than you were used to in previous months. :)

At the beginning of the month I was invited to Vichy PR event where I received two gorgeous products to test. I got their new Vichy Idealia Skin Sleep  Recovery Night gel-balm and I must say so far I really like it, feels very good on the skin, very light and the texture is really funny, not cream but not gel :P I have also received Vichy  Idealia Life serum Skin Idealizer serum, which I have not tested yet, but heard many compliments, so let's hope it will work well for me too.

From Balea I got two new creams, I bought the mini cream with raspberry scent and I don't like it as much as I liked the previous limited edition with rose-violet scent, but it's good, especially the texture is as it was with the previous product and I really liked that one, so it's still a win. While in Dubrovnik I checked out local DM store and came across this litlle gem, it's Balea Luxury Handlotion Golden glamour, really lovely scented hand lotion and of course I had to get it too :)

Than two newbies by Nivea. The In the shower body lotion Q10 was sent to me, so I will try it out sometime soon, I guess. Have no idea how will it work with my skin, but the previous one I had was too greasy for me ( I think it was the one with cocoa). Also at DM store I bought Nivea Soft Reefreshingly soft moisturizing cream, which I have always wanted to buy but never did, so now I am happily using it every day, really love the scent too.

Two more newbies, I bought L'Oreal Elseve Fibrology shampoo again, really liked it so far and I thought why not simply repurchase it plus it was really cheap at DM store so well, stock up on the good stuff :P I needed a cream with high spf factor and while checking out my local DM store I came across this Garnier Ambre solaire  Sensitive advanced face and neck cream with 50 spf. So far I really like it, but the only downside is that it makes me look greasy faster than usual.

And some makeup goodies! I have received Oriflame Eyes Wide Open mascara to test and write a review and so far I really like this new mascara, it has an interesting brush. Full review will be up probably in two weeks time, I hope. The rest you see on the photos are products I traded with a friend of mine, she had some stuff she didn't need or use, I had some too, so well this is what I got. Catrice Velvet Finish powder I have already talked about, but I took this one as it's a shade lighter than mine and suits me better, than something for eyeshadow lovers :P I am currently testing Uma Cosmetics Nude eyeshadow palette, Beauty UK Posh Masquerade Smokey eyeshadow palette, Barry M  Dazzle Dust 66 Black and 98 Petrol Black. Really loving all of these, especially the Beauty UK palette :) Thanks again! :D

So this is my April's new in, have you had any of these? Do you like them, do you recommend some other?

Thanks for reading!

FESTIVAL ESSENTIALS - makeup wise :D

MetalCamp, Tolmin
Hey everyone! So summer is finally getting started :D And I wanted to share with you my festival essentials. This means products that I would take on my travel anywhere. And especially what I would take on a festival where you don't have a clean bathroom and such :)

If you are a festival type of person and you like makeup, and even thou you can survive without any of it... if you could take anything with you - what would it be? Do you even use makeup when camping on a festival?

So I was just on a festival in Czech republic and I opened the season for this summer :) I hope maybe I'll have time and money to go see some more, because this one was so great! And this was the first time I wasn't camping, we were staying in a hotel :) But anyway, I was thinking what makeup did I usually take with me. So I decided to make a post that will talk about whether you are going to need anything at all, or just a couple of products or maybe none...?
Here's the deal, if you go on festival - you want to have fun, to be relaxed, to enjoy, to spend time on concerts and with friends and meeting new people and well.. drinking :P So sometimes when I think like this I see how pointless it is to take any make up at all. Usually everything is happening so fast you don't even have time to use any make up :P But if you do feel like you need a little something to pick you up from a long night of partying... here's a list of things I would take :)

For face: BB cream, highlighter, concealer, water spray and most essentially eye roll-on or eye cream.

So BB cream - I would take the one that I know fits me best, even thou I don't look that good as with powder and other products. When on festival you will rarely need anything else, or if you have a really lovely skin just skip this and use only whatever you use to protect your face from the sun :) I n my case this was Garnier BB cream for oily skin in shade Light/Clair. And I didn't take the whole bottle, just a little round pot  (you can buy it at any bigger drugstore, or you can recycle a small cream pot and put bb cream in it). Than about highlighter.. I usually take it, but maybe I use it once... or not even that, but if you feel like you really need it, than go just for one, whether it is a cream one or powder one. If you prefer blusher than take one shade that you know fits you best and will fit best with the rest of the make up. In my case I took my compact highlighter from Essence, Wild Craft trend edition. Anyway one of these products will be quite enough :) Concealer - I took my Bourjois one, Healthy mix in shade 51. This one covers everything - dark circles, red spots, pimples. It's best to take one product if you can that will serve you as a concealer for everything you feel you need to cover and also important - it must be small sized, so you can take it around in your hand bag at all times :) Water spray by Balea is also a very useful product, sometimes just as a refreshment and sometimes used to help you clean your face, or you could use it anywhere on your body. Sometimes before crashing in my tent I used this and wet cosmetic wipes to clean my face before sleeping :)
Last is Alverde Aqua Augen roll - on - very useful before bed or in the morning to refresh the area around your tired eyes or to help the eye area to cool down,  look less swollen. Sometimes when I don't sleep much I tend to look a bit puffy in the morning. :)

For eyes: Black mascara, black eyeliner pencil, white or pearly eyeliner, eyeshadow base, eyeshadow palette, eyebrow mascara.
So for eyes, if you like to emphasize your eyes I would recommend the usual products - black mascara, in my case L'Oreal False Lash Wings, two eyeliner pencils, one black and one pearly one for inner corners and waterline, in my case both by Essence, Longlasting eye pencil in 01 Black fever and 10 Almost famous. Than you can skip the eyeshadows and the base, sometimes you don't have really time to make all these products useful, so mascara and eyeliners might be enough. However, if you can't live without eyeshadows, I recommend you take one that is versatile and you can use it as a highlighter, or all over the lids, or is a bit darker and you can create two step smokey eyes with one eyeshadow. However, if you are like me and have too many eyeshadows and don't know which one to choose - just take the most useful and small eyeshadow palette you have. That way you will be able to decide last minute what look you want. In my case I chose this Beauty UK palette in number 4 Earth child. If your lids are not too greasy I would skip the eyeshadow base, but if you know you need a base to make the eyeshadows last at least half the night - than I would recommend a good base, my favourite is ArtDeco  eyeshadow base. As for brows - usually I wouldn't take anything on festival with me, but since I bought this one, I really loved how easy it was to use it so I actually did use it every day. I would recommend a similar product, not eyeshadow and brush and all, because that takes more time and space - and on a festival you want to have fun not worry about your brows. So make it as simple as you can :) In my case I took with me Essence Guerilla gardening LE in 02 Piece of my land.

For lips: one lip balm or maybe two, one red lipstick.

For lips I would take with me one lip balm, or maybe two, just to be sure if I loose one. I took with me Labello Soft Rose and Olive & Lemon one. Both are nourishing but not too greasy. Also if you think you will really need it you can take with you a lip scrub, it can be home made. But I don't think it would be necessary, I would rather recommend that you take a lip balm with SPF 30. As for lipstick - I take lipstick rather than lip gloss because it stays on longer, with lipgloss you need to reapply every hour - because on a festival you are usually drinking and eating a bit more often :) Also in my case I took with me Revlon Colorburst lipstick in 095 Crimson. I usually get to use it maybe once per festival, because there's just no time to apply it and it goes off really quickly and when on festival you don't have time to check if everything is ok with your mirror every half an hour, because it's party time and concerts and things are happening ... :D Anyway, I would recommend you to take a colour you really love that can be used full on or just as  a stain, (that's why I like deep red lipsticks). You can just dab on with a finger :)

For hands: red nail polish, hand sanitizer.

For nails on my hands and toes I would use the same shade, personally I would go for red, blue or grey. This time I took with me Bourjois 1 seconde nail polish in 08. Also, most important is the hand sanitizer, because you just can't do any of the makeup or anything with your hands dirty... so I find it essential :) As for hand creams, you can take them, but mostly I never used it, even when I actually had it.

Make up brushes - I didn't take any makeup brushes, I applied everything with the added sponge applicator or my fingers. It helps save space and time, because even if you decide to wear a lot of make up on festival, you still want to have a great time and brushes need to be washed and cleaned and all - and you just don't have the time or space for it, so it's best if you can make some adjustments and use your fingers :)

Also for face, many say you will need transparent mattifying powder to keep you from looking shiny and oily - well yes, maybe. But in the end, if it's really  hot outside no powder will help you, if it's raining it also won't help you. In any case, I would make it simple, use just a bb cream or not even that :) Or maybe you can skip BB cream and just apply the mattifying powder :)

So this is what I would take on  a festival with me, these are all the products :) I would maybe try and leave something at home, usually I always take too much stuff with me, because you never know and just in case.... XD If you are staying in a hotel than maybe you can take some more, but when camping there's no way you are actually gonna use everything you bring, especially if you want to see all the bands :)

I hope this post was useful to you, if you have any more questions, please leave me a comment :) And don't forget - have super fun and great time at your festival! :D

Summer favourite products :)

This summer I was using more make-up than usual for me, also I liked some  other products for body and hair. Here's a short presentation and review of all my favourites :)

For hair I was using a lot Syoss Nutrition Oil Care shampoo, Balea serum for split ends, Alverde hair oil and Gliss Oil Nutritive spray. This combination really took good care of my hair, they don't split so much anymore, they nourish them and givem them a nice shine. You must be careful not to use too much of the shampoo at once, because than it will make your hair became even more greasy in a shorter time. Gliss and Balea I've been using for quite some time now and they are both a very good product for the price. Alverde hair oil was new thing I tried and loved :) You must be careful how much you put on, I usually put it on right after washing my hair. With wet hair you can easily apply too much, since it doesn't feel like you put on too much. I never tried applying it on dry hair, but if you have really super dry hair and damaged hair ends you can do that too, even if they are not freshly washed.

For body I was mostly using these three shower gels :) Two very fruity scents and one flower one - lotus flower :) Nice and refreshing, also made my skin feel very good. No irritations, no dry skin, just a nice care for a normal skin. :)

For body I used mostly these three, Fa body lotion  Sensual Oil, has a really nice smell, it absorbs quickly, it doens't leave any grease on the skin or clothes. I used it a lot after shaving or any kind of depilation and it calmed my skin down and made it extra soft :) I discovered Dusch das through a friend and this has become one of my favourite deodorants ever. It smells very nice, very fresh, it actually doesn't leave any white stains on my clothes ( I have a lot of black t-shirts and dresses). Mostly they promise they don't but they still do.  :S Plus it is so budget friendly, this cost about 1,50e I think. Very good product for a low price. :) Also Balea Mango hand creme! I bought it just because of the smell, it is gorgeous! It absorbs quickly, it also nourishes my hands really well, my nails seem better too :)

For face I love Dr.Scheller face wash gel pomegranate. It has nice texture, it is clear coloured, turns into  a little bit like a foam. It is a very gentle cleanser suitable for all skin  types. Plus it's natural cosmetics. :) It doesn't have any particular smell. Balea Creme peeling with Aloe Vera is also a very nice product for all skin types. It has a lot of small granulas, you don't need much of the product for one wash and the whole tube lasts quite a long time :) For make-up remover I'm using this one from Alverde with marigold extract. It removes nicely, it's very creamy. It smells very gently of marigold. I can not say if it removes waterproof make-up, because I don't use it.

Next, after preparing my skin I put on Garnier BB cream for oily skin in light. It has a very nice, light texture. It doesn't make me more pimples or block my pores, it is a nice shade, suitable for my skin. It gives a nice matte finish. For concealer I use Healthy Mix by Bourjois in shade 51. It is a really great concealer, covers really well and gives matte finish. On top of that I use Essence Fix &Matte translucent powder, to fix the whole foundation. All this gives a really nice, light feeling on the skin, like I have nothing on. A really big difference between this and a real foundation which can be a lot more heavier, but also gives more coverage. For summer this was quite enough, perhaps now in fall and winter I will switch back to a real liquid foundation.

For eye make-up, I used quite a lot of different products. Mostly I loved these ones! As for mascaras I loved L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes, it really makes the best out of my eyelashes. :) Than this summer I tried something less expensive, so I got myself Essence I love Extreme Volume mascara. It's not as good as Volume Million Lashes, but still makes a nice daily look. You can always build it up, but the texture is a bit more liquidy and it tends to clog my lashes together. No more than three coats or it gets too heavy and looks more like fat, straight lashes. Very unflattering...

Than for eyeshadows, this summer I was using a lot of daily, classical shades. I was really not summery at all, the only more summery colour was a peach one, but it did not come into the collection of my favourites. Here you can see at the mascaras, left up Essence, Marble Mania LE, 01 Seriousely Mixed Up, than below Essence 59 Copper Island, on the other side of mascaras I have Essence  Colour&Shine, 11 Mercurious and ArtDeco  13 from Marrakesh Sunset LE. The Beauty Uk pallete in 4 Earth Child is so nice, very nicely pigmented, useful colours, small packaging so I always took her with me on my holidays or any other trip. A product I would really recommend to all. All the basic colours in one place, plus some green shades - to me this is a basic thing to have in your makeup bag. It has a little sponge applicator in it, but I was using my brushes to apply it. The Essence eyeshadows are all very nice too, long lasting, easy to apply and blend, give nice shimmery effect. As for the eyeliner, I loved these three by Revlon. They are named Antiqued Gold, Burnished Amber and Sueded Brown. They are really nicely pigmented, longlasting and easy to apply. The last one is a black one by Essence, Long lasting eye pencil in 01 Black forever. A really deep black colour, not greyish! It is longlasting and it's easy to apply, a really good black eyeliner.

My favourite nail polishes this summer were Deborah ShineTech in 50, Bourjois 1 seconde in number 8 and ArtDeco Ceramic Nail Lacquer in 412. I was going for a really classic colours this summer. Also because I finally discovered the shades of red I always wanted to have. :)

As for lips I was using so many products this was really the hardest thing to pick out. But I guess it is safe to say these were my summer favourites! First is a Revlon Matte lipstick in In The Red, second Catrice Lip Appeal in 100 Red-y, Steady, go!, than again Revlon Mineral lipglaze in 545 Stay Ablaze. Than two Alverde gloss lipsticks I got from this summers limited edition Nude&Flash, first one is 40 Smokey Rose and second one 60 Rich Coral.

Here are the swatches for all five of them. :) Again very classy colours I chose. Three more daily shades and two more pigmented and more suitable for a night out or dinner. :) Both Alverde ones give a bit more glossy finish, they have a nice smooth texture, the usual Alverde smell, like most of their products. They are very nice for daily use, for work and such. They leave a nice feeling on the lips and even when they dry they still leave a bit of colour on. They are not very long lasting, I had to reapply them a couple of times.

Catrice lip gloss gives a nice gentle colour to your lips, very useful for daily use, smooth application, doesn't smell of anythig in particular, but is not very long lasting.

Revlon have one of the most amazing lip products that are available in our drug stores! They are my total favourites for lip products. Both of these products are very nice to apply, they give a really nice finish. Both shades can be built up to look more full on. They are both very long lasting, they don't dry out my lips. Of course the pigmentation is super good! Lipglaze has a bit of a nice sugary smell, or at least that's how I would describe it. Unfortunately they are both discontinued and are no longer in stores, perhaps you can still catch some sales somewhere. Anyway I'm not too sad about it, because I'm sure that Revlon will launch even better shades and products and that we will want them even more than we want the old products. Like lip butters the whole make -up world is crazy about, they are not in Slovenia yet, but when they do come I hope we get all shades, because I already have a wishlist XD

(sorry for the  bad photo, the natural daylight did not help much, so the photo is a bit unjust to the colours)
from top to bottom: Alverde Rich Coral, Smokey rose, Stay Ablaze, Red-y, Steady , go!, In the Red.
These were my favourite summer products :) I believe some of them will remain so also in fall and winter :) I hope this was useful to you and thanks for reading!
