My blush collection :)

Hello! Let's start May with a pop of colour! Here's a short post about my blush stash, I don't own a lot of them, but I really got used to using them every day and with every makeup. Before I never uderstood what I would need blush for, I was always like I need mascara, some powder, something on my lips and I'm good. Now I can not imagine making my everyday looks without a touch of colour on my cheeks.

First two are by Catrice and Essence, well as most I own. I have fallen in love with Catrice Defining Blushes the first time I have tried them. I currently have two and I really love both. This one here is in shade 090 Mandy-rine and it's a lovely peachy sort of orangey colour I love to use with my everyday looks, especially in combination with natural eye makeup looks. I find it perfect for a pop of innocent natural colour, suits very well with warm skin tones and yellow undertones of my foundations. It's really soft and smooth, easy to apply and blend, has lovely pigmnetation. Next to it is Essence soo blush! cream to powder blush. It's in shade 10 sweet as a peach. I usually forget to use this one :P I tend to apply it right after my first layer of my foundation, so if I apply too much I can still make corrections as I have not finished my base yet. Than I would go over with a transparent mattifying powder and blend any harsh edges left. I usually apply this one with fingers (therefore more chances for strong edges), but it works best with a stippling brush or a sponge. It really has a lovely transformation, from creamy, but not sticky, to powdery on the skin. Also the shade is lovely peachy, suits me really well and so far I must say I liked this blush, even thou I have not been using it very often.

Than moving on to pink blushes. Again I have one by Catrice, Defining blush in shade 020 Rose Royce. This one was actually sort of recommended to me at Catrice/Essence event by a fellow blogger Mateja from Mateja'y beauty blog, and I was a bit sceptical as I was not really used to such a shade of pink but now I keep using it almost every day! It's a gorgeous colour, suitable for any look, day or night time and just simply so universal I can not imagine my life without this one anymore! I use it all the time, I think there was about a month of time I would use only this one and than one morning I realised I only use this one and that I should start using some others too! The next to it is  by MUA and it's in shade 2. Also a bright pop of pink, but somehow this one never really impressed me much It's a nice shade, but really a bit too neon-ish I think and also doesn't have a good staying power once applied, not as Catrice blushes have. This one has been more or less just sitting in my bathroom waiting it's turn, but I really rarely use it.

Moving on I have another two I really love, but one is very much used and the other kind of forgotten. Firts one is by Catrice and it's theirs Illuminating blush in shade 020 Coral Me Maybe.  Oh my dear god!!! Why has nobody told me before that this is soo amazing?! I was using the Defining Blushes first and didn't even try this one for a couple of months and then when I did I was really impressed and in love with it with my first try! I really love this one and I would recommend this one most from all of my stash! It's got amazing texture, application is easy, it's easy to blend it, it's got lovely pigmentation, you really can't go overboard with this one, it doesn't look like a regular blush on your cheeks, it looks like a healthy glow coming from within you and it looks so natural! Really love the effect it has on my face and I will most definitely repurchase once I finish this one. Also it had lovely imprint before I started using it, some is still visible. It's not important, but just adds that feel of extra luxury :) It does have slight shimmer and pearl effect, just as a warning if you really dislike that. Next one is by ArtDeco and it's in shade 44. I bought it or got it second hand a long time ago, and at first I never really used it as I thought it was a bit too dark for me. Now I have learned  how to apply just the right amount of it and it looks really lovely, especially if I have a slight tan, but I rarely do, so some added bronzer does the trick. It has great pigmentation, it's easy to apply and blend, lasts really long and all in all is pretty amazing, but I really just don't use this one much anymore, don't know why but I feel like it doesn't give me the look I want anymore so it's mostly just waiting in my bathroom to be loved again.

And the last one is by Sleek MakeUP called Blush By 3 in shade 364 Sugar. It has typical packaging, just like Sleek eyeshadow palettes, thin  and black, sturdy and compact, with a big mirror inside. Really love that it's got a mirror inside, comes very handy. It offers three different shades. The first one,  the reddish one is called Turbinaco, second one, the one in the middle, is called Muscovado and the last one, the orangey one is called Demerara. I was really excited about this one when I bought it but honestly this one was never much loved. Not that I don't like it or use it, it's just well not used as much as I thought it would be. It was a much anticipated product but never really impressed that much that I would sing praises to it and use it every day. I know I am making it injustice, as there is really nothing wrong with the product, but still. It has strong pigmentation, I really need to be careful not to apply too much, it's easy to apply and doesn't need many strokes to get just the right shade. The reddish shade Turbinaco really looks lovely with strong eyes and the other two Muscovado and Demerara look lovely mixed together. Otherwise I do not use a lot the Muscovado shade as it's got strong shimmer in it and looks best mixed with another shade or when I am making a summer bronzed evening look. All in all it's a very good product, I just didn't fall in love with it as much as I hoped I would.

Turbinado, Muscovado, Demerara

These were all my blushes I currently own and use. Do you have any of these? Do you recommend me some other shades I should try?

Hope this post was useful to you! Thanks for reading!

Love, UniqaPoly
