PRODUCT OF THE WEEK #1: Labello - Lip Butter Vanilla & Macadamia

Hello again! I have to apologize first for being a little absent and not posting at all... I had quite some work for my studies and I haven't actually finished anything yet, but I hope to squeeze posting on my blog in my busy week....

As the title suggests, I will be writing about my favourite product of the week. :) I'll try to write each week about a certain product but I give no promises, since I would really be better doing what I must do not what I would like to do... I'll be using this title for writing a review of a certain product, show you some photos, some swatches... Also I'll try to actually use the product every day for a week and see how it works on me and write a proper and honest review. Since I have so many things yet to test and so many things that I rarely use I thought this would be a good idea to shufle through my stash more quickly and also be more organised :)

So to the product - today I'll write about Labello Lip Butter  Vanilla & Macadamia. :) This is nothing new and I bet almost everyone tried this product or at least the other version of it - Raspberry rose, which is also available in Slovenia.

I have this little pot on my desk at home and mostly use it at home. It's packaged in a small  round tin pot, containing 19 ml of the product or 16,7g. I use it at home also because there I have access to bathroom and I can wash my hands regularly before using the product.. otherwise it would be full of bacteria and dirty really fast..

The moisturizing formula contains shea butter and almond oil. The formula melts on the lips, giving them a nice scent, healthy glow and most importantly, restores suppleness.

This product is ideal for all vanilla lovers, because it's  actually aromatized with real vanilla and macadamia aromas. I could not belive the amazing scent this product has! It's not invasive or in any way too strong or too fake and plastic, it doesn't smell sugary but actually like a vanilla extract.

For  me this product does half of what it promises -  pampers lips, relieves dry, chapped lips. I must say it is more nursing than their sensitive lip balm or the classic one... It will not be enough in a really harsh winter, but for a person working mostly indoors, this would be probably good enough :) Still the nourishing and pampered feeling doesn't last and it doesn't help when your lips are really needing some healing. It's a semi good product regarding the effect on the lips, but I don't regret the buy since the aroma is really nice and I am a big vanilla scent lover :P

What about you? Have you tried this product? Do you like it? I would really love to buy the other two that we don't have in Slovenia - caramel and original... I bet those two also have really nice scents :)

Thanks for reading!

NEW in November :)

Hello December! Today's post is as expected  - what was new in November :) I have a little less products this month, I was trying to save some money and also save it for Christmas shopping :) Also in December a lot of brands have discounts and such and it's worth to wait a bit :) Plus, the amount of make up I already have doesn't let me buy any more, I have to test and swatch so many things...

So let's start with a list of all things new:
- Revlon Nearly Naked Makeup 130 Shell
- Revlon Lip Butter in 063 Wild Watermelon and 096 Macaroon
- MicroCell 2000 Nail repair
- Deborah Milano Red, shade 2
- MaxFactor, Colour Elixir  630 Eternal flame
- Alverde, Mineral Blush Pearls in shade 10 Fantastic Toffee
- Alverde, Beauty&Fruity,  mattifying face cream with lime and apple
- Alverde, Bodybutter Christmas set
- JOHN FRIEDA, Full Repair deep infusion treatment for hair

I want to start with my favourite part of the month - lipsticks! I got the Revlon lip butters with a little bit of discount, so I don't feel so bad getting them, but I really hope to use them some more. I got myself two new shades, 096 Macaroon and 063 Wild Watermelon :) These two make my list of lip butters up to number seven! I'm really getting proud of my collection of lipsticks, and I want to make a series of posts presenting all of them :) I was thinking something like " Lipstick of the week", something like that :) I know it's nothing new, but I really have to share these wonderful lippies with all of you :) Also I got two other lipstick this month, one is by Deborah, Milano Red collection, but doesn't have a name, only a number, shade 2. The other shade I got is by MaxFactor, also ColorElixir range, shade 630 Eternal flame. To see the shades check the photos below for some swatches ;) I got both of these by second hand, so I didn't spend a lot of money on them ;)

L to R: Revlon Wild Watermelon, Revlon Macaroon, MaxFactor Eternal  Flame, Deborah shade 2

Next are products for face :) I got myself my second bottle of Nearly Naked foundation in shade Shell :) I have been using this almost every day for the last couple of months. Let's say I had a bottle from May until now... and I really used it like at least 6 times per week :) I love this foundation and I simply had to repurchase, because no matter how many other BB creams or foundations I have at home, I always go for this one :P I will write a proper review on this one, it's a really amazing product ;) Also, I got myself a little pot of blush pearls, by Alverde. they were on sale, a bit less than 2e, so I said why not. I love the browny natural toned combination and I wantd to see whether or not could I use it as a bronzer. So far so good, I used it a couple of times in combination with a more natural make up look on eyes and it's quite a good product :)

Next are two repair products, one is for nails, MicroCell 200 nail repair, which I hope will help me put my nails back to  a better state. I have a lot of problems with my nails lately, and with winter time they seem to be even worse. I hope this will do what it promises, will see in a week or so. You are supposed to have it on for  tow- three weeks, will see how it works for me.

Second is a product by John Frieda, a repair product for hair, a transparent liquid infusion. I hope it will help me keep my hair ends from spliting, will see.. I used it twice up to now and so far so good :) I got this one as a "CHIC ambasadorka" of November, I will write a review here, both in Slovene and English ;)

I got this set of three body butters by Alverde for myself at first, and I loved the scent of these three so I actually both the second one too, for a gift ;) You get three different body butters, each packaged in 50 ml container:) Currently I'm using the one with cranberry chocolate scent and I love it! you also get inside one with vanilla and cinnamon and one with aroma of baked apples ;) Perfect Christmas scents :)

Another product from Alverde I bought at the end of the month is this face cream with lime and apples. I haven't tried it yet, but I hope it's good :) It's supposed to be for normal to mixed skin, and my skin tends to be a bit on the greasy side, but in winter I need a little something more rich to care for my skin :)

And to finish off my post - I have some new jewelry, but none was made by me ... I have little time for creating lately, unfortunately. I got the bracelet at DM store, the big green earrings at Muller store and the smaller, brighter earrings second hand ;)

And this is it! Thanks for reading and visiting my blog! :) Please leave a comment if you wish for me to try review a certain product sooner :)

P.S. - Don't forget - giveaway is just one post away! ;)

And also this week I got BH Cosmetics 88 Color Palette Tropical matte eyeshadows and BH Berry set of brushes :) Haven't tried them yet, but I hope to do so soon :)

And here's some more photos of my newbies :)

I got Aloe Vera gel before going to sea side and I must say I loved using it as a daily moisturizer for face and also for body. A very versatile product. Mainly it's supposed to be used against skin burns from the sun, but I like the feeling on the skin. Usually I applied it on my face before going to bed and it definitely made my skin feel better, more moisturized than any face cream I had so far..

Also another favourite for this summer is Garnier Ultimate Beauty oil in this plastic spray bottle. Easy to apply, easy on the skin, not greasy, doesn't transfer on clothes :) And it smells really great! I love this one! :)

L'Oreal hair oil is still waiting it's turn, and I'm gonna open it when I finally finish my Alverde Argan&Almond hair oil. :)

Balea Vaseline is a simple product, meant for any skin type and for any purpose really. As a lip balm, as a moisturizer,... I plan to make this a base ingredient for my home made lip scrubs, so I expect this little pot to last me some really long time. Also maybe I'll try mix it into a home made lipgloss/lipstick or just simply a home made lip balm... still have to explore some more what will be good to mix together :)

Another product I was really happy to see in Slovenian store is this Labello lip butter! I saw this was available like more than 6 months ago in Germany and I really hoped it will be here too. .. Well it was worth the wait! I love this little pot! The scent of vanilla is amazing! And so far it nourishes the lips pretty good :)

MeMeMe liquid illuminator and highlighter - I just craved it, saw it on sale on local web store Ličila.si and I had to try it! :) As for Essence bronzing powder - this is actually my first bronzer that I own and so far I like it.. I'm still learning the right application and most of all, how much to apply :)

As for nails.. I already talked about this Catrice one, So Classy, from their L'Afrique, C'est Chic LE here :) This one looked so great I simply could not wait to show it to you :) As for Deborah, I haven't tried any of these two yet, they are also the first ones from the mini Pret'a'porter that I have.. I hope they will be as good as GelLike ones, you can read about those here :)

For lips I got myself two lipglosses, both on sale. I was looking for lipsticks in brown shades, but all I could find that looked good was this S-he lipgloss and so far it has been an ok product. Still this is not quite what I really crave.. not completely the right shade. The second one is by Essence and it is going to be discontinued this fall... I had this one on my wishlist for a very long time, but it always looked kinda strange.. in stores. In real life it looks great and I've been wearing it almost every day since I got it!
The lipstick 04 on the catwalk! is from the Essence new range of lipsticks and comes in the same packaging as the Na-Rock one from Tribal Summer LE. I liked this shade best and after liking the Na-Rock one so much I kinda already knew this one will be a win too, just needed to check the shades in real. :)

And for eyes :) Yeey, finally got some of the palettes that I was wishing for more than a year! So I got Sleek Oh So Special and Sparkle 2 by second hand, from  some very nice girls on slovenian cosmetics forum ArsCosmetica :) Also as a gift I got Wet'n'Wild eyeshadow palette and I really like it! This is actually my first Wet'n'Wild product ever :) Also on Ličila.si I ordered Showstoppers.. and.. oh I'm so happy :D I love all three Sleek palettes, they are all really good. But more about them in other posts. Now I only wish for two more XD Check out my wishlist here :)

So do you have any of the these items? Do you like them? Let me know which you would prefer to read about sooner :)

Thanks for reading and have a nice day!

Revlon Lip Butter - review and swatches

Hey there!  Finally I got to try out the famous Lip Butters by Revlon :) I got them both as a gift, yaaay!!! They are still not available in Slovenia. The lighter shade is number 025  Peach Parfait and the more red one is  070 Cherry Tart.

This product is unique in a way since it is not a classic lipstick and was never meant to look or feel like some heavy, longlasting, strong lipstick.

The name already indicates it's a lip butter, and I can say it's really nice to wear this two :) The texture is really smooth, creamy, but light, I would dare to say on my lips it's quite hydrating in comparison with other Revlon lipsticks that I have. It has a bit of sugary smell, but it's very light, so I don't think it would bother even those that need all products fragrance free.

The texture is not very long lasting, after eating you definitely need to reapply it. On me it did not move for about three hours, that's also my specialty to eat all my lipstick off, so I also did not expect it to last any longer.
The colour payoff is not very strong - again this is  not as other Revlon lipsticks, it will never be like the Matte collection. Some may not like that, but to me it's perfect. I see this Colorburst Lip Butter collection as a very wearable daily lipstick collection, for any skin type or shape of lips, the variation of colours is also pretty good.

Swatch:
And how it looks on my lips:

Peach Parfait

Cherry Tart
Peach Parfait is very light, daily shade, it also has some shimmer in it, but it is not very visible so it makes a nice shine. Cherry Tart is a nice red, very light one and very suitable for daily make up. Usually most of us don't wear red lipstick for everyday, for work and school, but this one is perfect. :) I think Peach Parfait is light enough to suit any skin tone, but Cherry Tart seems more suitable for warm tones.

What's your favourite Lip Butter? Have you tried it yet?

I hope this was useful to you and thanks for reading! :)
