NEW IN August :)

Hey there! So summer's almost completely over. Time to go back to work/school and no more free time or vacations. I am slowly returning to more regular blogging as well, which for you means at least something new and interesting to read every once in a while! ;) I haven't been able to keep up with my new in blog posts so this year I have merged some of them together, like the June&July one. That one was massive, also thanks to a beauty blogger event goodies I have received. This one however is a lot shorter, though I must admit, I have felt spendy and bought a couple of products I really didn't need. Let's call them treats for the soul, shall we? XD

Oriflame sent me some amazing goodies in August! I got to try out their new foundation - Giordani Gold Liquid Silk Foundation SPF 12*  in shade Vanilla. I love the luxuriously looking packaging and the pipette for dispensing the foundation. The shade is a bit light for me at the moment, but it will suit me better when I loose all the tan I got during summer. I have barely started testing it out and I must say the first impression is rather good! The light texture really has a nice natural and silky finish. Even my boyfriend commented that I look more natural than usual, less pale because I have less foundation on my face. Anyway, gonna give it a more thorough testing and then a full review up here! Oriflame Eau de Toilette My Little Garden* has a gorgeous bell shaped bottle. Love the scent as well, even though it's EdT. Smells like sitting in the middle of a flower garden, love it! Not too overpowering scent and I like that it doesn't have the sweet twist to it. I hate it when brands combine floral scents with strong candy ones. Oriflame The ONE No compromises mascara* is their latest mascara and has premiered in the new September catalog. I have only tried it once so far, I like the brush a lot! Separates my lashes well. Doesn't coat them too thickly, but it looks like more of a daytime mascara. On my super short and stubborn lashes it looked very natural and appropriate for daytime.

I haven't been using feet products regularly, except for summertime, when it's hot and I wear sandals and a lot more nail polish and such. So I got a package by Oriflame that really surprised me and I didn't even know how much I needed these! XD  Feet up  summer fresh foot spray and  foot cream with strawberry & rhubarb*  have a lovely scent and feel fresh on the skin. The spray is amazing! I have used it a lot on hot days, to keep my feet looking good! The scent is not too artificial, which is always nice. Some brands tend to make the strawberry scents way too sweet. The cream absorbs well and quickly, so both products count as a positive surprise. I've also tried out  The ONE moisture gel polish*. This one became an instant favourite!

Needed some hair products so I went for another repurchase of Batiste dry shampoo for brown hair. There's really no point in talking about this one again, I have expressed my love for it up here on this blog a number of times. For shampoo I wanted to try out something new so I bought Schwarzkopf Schauma Nature moments Provence herbs & lavender and Mediterranean olive oil & aloe vera shampoo. I started testing out the lavender one in September and so far, I am really liking it. Smells super nice, foams nicely. My hair feel light and clean after washing, if you know what I mean. They feel light, but not too dry at the same time, just soft and clean and no greasy residue. They also have a slight lavender scent, but it doesn't last long. 

A couple of new skincare bits. I treated myself with Afrodita Cosmetics salt peeling and 100% SPA Detox Therapy body milk essential oils and natural hyaluronic acid. I couldn't resist the lavender scented salt peeling and it really smells like heaven. The combo of argan and lavender is really amazing and the body souffle impressed me as well. The Detox therapy lotion has a nice pump dispenser and I like the fresh scent of it. I haven't tested it out properly yet, but it sinks into the skin really fast and leaves no greasy residue. Balea Universal cream Fur Dich with coconut and cherry scent was a treat just because. I really like their vintage looking packagings and I always buy the new scents. This one has amazing scent as well and the same effective texture as always!

I treated myself with some makeup bits. Golden Rose Long stay liquid matte lipstick 15 is a shade that got really popular around me. I have a lot of friends who have this exact shade. Some love it, some say it's a disappointment. I honestly really like it. The shade, the  texture, the lasting power all impressed me. Not my first shade from the collection and definitely not the last one. L.O.V Cosmetics  Perfectitude primer serum was a product I actually needed to buy. I ran out of all my face primers and I was searching for something else to try out. My price point was up to 10 euros, but I accidentally took this one instead of the one for oily skin. It was about 12 euros but it serves me well. Makes my skin soft and I feel like it gives me a more dewy base than I am used to. Maybelline COLORsensational 986 Melted chocolate matte lipstick is a gorgeous light brown lipstick. Perfect for daytime wear and dries down to a complete matte finish. Love the light feeling on the lips and it never dries too much. I have bought three lippies from the Catrice Blessing Browns LE. The shade I actually liked and will keep on is C04 Plum Sucree. It's the perfect muted mauve shade for daily wear. The texture is light like a souffle, but it needs to be applied on a really well prepared lips.

The kind representatives of Le Couvent Des Minimes from Stillmark d.o.o. sent me an amazing cologne to try out - Botanical Cologne of the Priory hydrolat de verveine*. Loved to use it all through out the hot August weather and also now in September. When I started using perfumes I was more for florals and such, but lately I really love the fresh scented ones, like this one. Smells citrus like, but at the same time not too much like a fruity lemon. the perfect balance of verveine gives it just the right combination of making it perfect for daytime wear without smelling like a cleaning product at the same time. I have also received L'Occitane Roses et reines en Rouge hand cream* which was a part of a limited edition by L'Occitane. I am not sure if you can still get it in the stores, but I like the scent of this a lot. Their hand creams never disappoint me and this one is keeping me company this fall in my hand bag! NIVEA Cellular anti-age intensiv kur hyaluron* is the latest addition to Nivea skincare products. I have yet to try out this product, I was sort of waiting to finish up with some other products, so I can really do a full report on it. I think it will suit my skin type, as I need some hydro boost and what better way then intensive care with hyaluron.

I was feeling spendy in August and I ordered a couple of products from Ličila.si. I bought the Makeup Revolution Flawless Resurrection eyeshadow palette which was supposedly a dupe for ABH Modern Romance. I don't have both to compare, but this one will have to do, I guess. I am trying to incorporate the shades into my daytime looks and some pink tones are sort of hard to use as they don't really fit with my overall makeup choices. So far I like the palette, but will see if I'm gonna make a full review of it or not. Along with it I ordered two new lippies - I heart makeup Lip lava Molten chocolate I heart chocolate and Death by chocolate. Shade I heart chocolate has a colder undertone and looks like a mix between deep pink and a hint of fuchsia, while the Death by chocolate looks more like a deep cherry with a brown undertone. One for day time and one for going out. Both have shiny, lacquered finish when applied but it settles down to a semi shiny finish. They don't last well on me, unfortunately. I need to reapply a lot, especially after eating. But that's kinda understandable, can't keep the finish and colour intact with such shades. Though, the I heart chocolate survives eating and drinking better then the other shade.

One package made my week or maybe even month. This one was also sent to me by Ličila.si, but for the purposes of testing out. I got Makeup Revolution Pro HD Amplified 35 palette Commitment*, Makeup Revolution Luxury powder banana* and I heart makeup Unicorns heart rainbow highlighter*. Ličila.si store was celebrating 7th birthday and they have also expanded and sell Makeup Revolution product at Tuš drogerija stores. I was super lucky and I got three amazing products to try out. From what I have tested out I really like the banana powder, perfect for my under eye area. especially matches well with my Bourjois foundations. The rainbow highlighter looks very strong or very natural, however I want it and on the face doesn't look as scary at all. I was kinda expecting it too be too strong, but it really looks good! The eyeshadow palette is huge and has amazing combination of shades. Haven't tested all of them out yet, but I love them so far! Nice pigmentation, easy to blend and last well on me. Perfect for creating day time looks or some mauve, purple smoky eyes.

Empties of the week 8 :)

Hello! Time to talk about my latest empties :) I think I am doing pretty good finishing up my makeup products and skin care and cleansers and shower gels... very proud of myself that I managed to still stick with my original plan to finish up the products that are already open :)

I have used up a bottle of Johnson's baby softwash that I was actually using just for washing my makeup brushes. It did the job well but I am wondering  if it really got also all the bacteria. That's why I have a new Ebelin cleanser and I hope that one will be working also against potential germs so I can really assure my skin the best care possible. Or otherwise what's the point of having anti blemish skin care if I keep using only half washed brushes... Next to it is another empty bottle of Inell Lait Demaquillant Douceur, I already have repurchased another one and I keep using it as it's really cheap and works well with my makeup ( I do not use waterproof stuff). Another cleanser finished, this time I used up Nivea Aqua Sensation invigorating cleansing gel for normal to mixed skin. This was pretty good, it worked well for me, also together with my Braun face brush. It did however sting a bit at times, when my skin was really sensitive or I had a reaction to something..

Empty hair products, I have finished a dry shampoo by Balea, Trend it up spray-on trocken shampoo. I have already repurchased this one many times and currently I have another one by Balea, but both are good. Also my boyfriend likes to use it so sometimes a bottle can be finished up pretty fast. I have also finished another L'Oreal Paris Elvital Fibrology shampoo, I think this one is still my favourite one from the ones I have tried. I also really like the Fibrology hair balm, the scent of both products and how my hair are really soft later.. I will definitely repurchase again after I finish my stash. Third product is by Schwarzkopf, it's Gliss Hair repair conditioner. I have been using their leave-in spray conditioners for a couple of years now and I really like them. Usually I use this product on days when I don't use any hair mask or hair balm, so I don't get my hair too greasy and heavy before even drying them. It workd really well for me, I might repurchase this one really soon.

I have finished up a couple of shower gels. I usually have more than one open at a time, so don't think I used four shower gels in less than two months:P Plus I tend to use up shower gels as a liquid soap, especially if I get bored of the scent or I have it in my stash for so long I can't even remember why this product ever smelled nice to me. I have done so with Balea Black secret shower gel. It does smell nice, but I don't like the scent all over my skin so I used it up as a handwash liquid soap. The other three were actually all gifts. I got the I love ... Minty choco chip as a gift and I have been using it up pretty slowly as it really had a strong specific scent and I wanted the product to last  for as long as possible. The same goes for The Body Shop Moringa Shower gel. Until I had enough of these two crowding the space on my bath and I decided to finally finish them up. After that I was using another shower gel I got for my birthday L'Angelica Officinalis Purificante with a fresh scent of tea tree plant. Really loved the scent and the refreshing feeling. I think I might try the lemon scented one also, if I get a discount or something.

It's been a long time since I finished up a body lotion, but I finally did. I really wanted to create some space so I decided this one is the first one to be used up and it's by Dove Purely pampering with pistachio cream and magnolia. Smells really amazing and works well with my dry skin, especially on my legs. I would repurchase, but I have too many similar products to use up. Also, I have finally finishe up another hand cream and it's by Alverde Naturkosmetik Intensiv handcreme with pomegranate and shea butter. This was a really greasy hand cream and I've been using it only at home or before going to bed as it really took a long time to sink in. I liked it but not that much to want t repurchase it ever again.  And who would have thought, I have actually finished up a lip product, Labello lip butter vanilla and macadamia. I had this for quite some time and I really liked it but I usually just used it at home as it's a lip product ina pot and you really need to keep your hands clean when applying. I would repurchase, as I really liked the scent but I have an enormous stash yet to finish and I keep purchasing new lippies.

As for facial skincare I have so many opened products yet that are close to being finished but not there yet, hat I have only managed to use up two products. I used up Balea 7 tage energie kur. There were seven ampoules inside, I used one each evening, for a week. It was supposed to help my skin get back some hydration, energy and freshness.. well I must say I did not notice any differences so I will say this did not work for me and I do not plan on repurchasing. I have also used up Paula's Choice Clear anti-redness exfoliating solution with 2 % salicylic acid regular strength. This did nothing for me. I used it only in the evenings and after three days, three uses there was no more  visible change. The first two days I could really see my acne shrinking and drying out but than there was no more change. So I kept using the product more or less on and off, when I had a major breakout to help me dry it out faster but that's it. Some say they used this every day and it worked miracles on their skins, well mine was not one of them and I will most definitely never repurchase again.

Finished up two deodorants, Nivea Dry comfort and Rexona Clear aqua. Both were pretty good, the Rexona one had a better scent if you ask me. In terms of keeping me dry none of these two ever really do much for that, if my body needs to sweat it will and it doesn't matter what I use, but it did help me keep smelling freshly and clean and this is actually most important for me.

I ahve also used up a face mask I got as a gift Schaebens Schoko maske and it really smelled so amazingly sweet, I really liked it. Than I finished up some testers of Nivea Diamond volume conditioner and shampoo. They were ok, but I have nothing much to say about it, decent products, but did not wow me or anything, so i don't think I'll be switching my L'Oreal shampoos for Niveas one. I have also finished up a tester of Nivea Soft  refreshingly soft moisturizing cream and I really liked it, I think I will be repurchasing a whole bottle/pot as soon as I will be able to.

Some eye makeup I finished up. I actually really loved this Wet'n 'Wild eyeshadow palette in Silent treatment, but I dropped it and it broke and there is more or less just some mixed dust left inside. Too bad, this was really one of my favourites. I would definitely immediately repurchase if I could. Than checking out my mascara stash I figured out there are two mascaras that really must go to the trash bin asap! The L'Oreal Paris False Lash Wings in black  and Terra Naturi Fine definition mascara in blue. Both were still usable but so very old and I didn't even use them anymore that I have no regret throwing them away. I really really liked the L'Oreal one, this was actually one of the best mascaras I have ever tried. So a repurchase is highly likely, but not just yet :) The Terra Naturi one was never used much and well very old, so very ripe for thrash bin. Also throwing away Catrice  Calligraph Ultra slim eyeliner pen waterproof. This product never worked for me. I used it maybe three times and it already went grey instead of black, it transfered all over my lids and well.. I didn't use it anymore, it just was there in my stash and it's time for it to throw it away. Last one is by Essence, their Long lasting eye pencil in 10 almost famous I used for my waterline. It was also very old and it started to crubmle right after application so it was past time to get rid of it and I already bought another one, this time by Catrice , Kohl kajal in shade You're my Rosen one!

Last three empties are also makeup related. I have used up a liquid foundation, and I must say I am pretty impressed with myself as it's really been a long time I have finished up a product of this type. I have used up Bourjois 123 Perfect foundation in shade N51 Light Vanilla. This was one of my favorite foundation ever and I would repurchase, but I have an enourmous stash of not yet used up  foundations.. Than also by Bourjois I have finished up their Happy lights ultra - covering concealer in shade 21 Ivore. I will be definitely repurchasing this one soon, it's one of my all time favourites! For the time being I bought Catrice camouflage cream and it's good but not as good as the Happy light one. Plus it's  got a better packaging, gives better coverage and also has a tiny mirror inside. It is however a lot more expensive, about 8 euros, while Catrice one is  only 3,29 euros. Last item I am throwing away is a portable powder brush by Deborah. I have never been really using this one much, I had no idea the bristles would be so rough as there was no tester available for a brush at the store and I have regretted purchasing it from day one. I hoped that with regular washing I would get it to be more soft but it never was. Then the mechanism to roll it out broke and it only goes out just half way and it just stood there in my bathroom, so it was time to get rid of it too.

And this is it for now :) As I've been prolonging this post for so long I already have a couple of empties for my next post and I think it will be up sometime in April :) Have you been using any of these? How did they work for you?

NEW in October & some chat :)

Hello there! I'm finally back! I've been away from posting for way too long now, I really missed it :) Now I'm back on track, starting with this post, presenting you my newest makeup :) I have finally managed to get my own computer and photoshop and everything finally works :P I can finally write and post and make watermark and little corrections on the photos .... :D It feels good to be back :)  October was quite a long month.. and just when I thought I was being good, and not spending too much money on stuff I don't need, I realised that October was quite a lipstick month XD Just look at all my newbies!

Ok, so since I have so many things, I decided I'll try to start with things I got at the beginning of October :) Barry M released their first eyeshadow palettes and there are three awailable :) I fell in love with this one the moment I saw it! I simply had to have it! I love the colour choice, the packaging, the mirror inside, the size is perfect also for those on the go. It's  a winning combo and I love using this one for everyday looks :) I got this one at Ličila.si in a package together with Konad eyeshadow brush, eyebrow pencil and Uma matte lipgloss. All together was around 15 euros, which is a pretty good deal :) I also added to the shopping cart this Uma powder, because I was looking for a transparent fixing powder in a compact shape so I can take it with me at all times and the addition of Konad eyebrow pencil didn't hurt, since I didn't have any such product before. The brush is always something useful, so I was pretty satisfied with this buy :)

This Uma matte lipgloss will be a part of the upcoming giveaway, so stay tuned and maybe you'll get it ;)

I had a 30% discount in DM stores on decorative cosmetics and I really wanted another one of these quattro eyeshadows from Deborah. This is my third one so far and I've been loving all three very much! I know I have a million eyeshadows already but this I simply could not resist, look at the colours! XD

Also at the end of September I have ordered from Avon Cosmetics and I have decided on violet mascara and three lipsticks... until they arrived I have already bought some from Terra Naturi, but more about that later. Since I  got the products from a catalogue, I just hoped they would be good and I must say I am not as satisfied as I hoped to be. The mascara is too light and doesn't really do anything, the colour is not purple enough, more like light blue. The lipsticks are ok - one is very good for every day, shade Lioness, but it's also very transparent so not very visible... Coco Kiss is a great browny shade, but a bit too strong so it's hard to use it often, because it simply does not fit. The third lipstick in shade Camel  is a bit too orangey and too glittery for me, so I kinda don't like to use it.... As for the texture and the pigmentation of the lipsticks - pretty good :) Too bad the shades I chose are not my best fit.

While waiting for the package to arrive  I saw in Muller stores that Terra Naturi has some new shades and I wanted to try them. I got myself one lipstick in shade 10 Light bronze and a lipgloss in shade 04 Cherry. Well honestly these two were a really bad buy.. I don't like either of them very much, the gloss is kinda ok, but fades away very quicly. The lipstick is really bad, all goes into the cracks on my lips... texture and pigmentation are really bad, I really don't recommend this.

These two lipglosses .. I admit they were just impulsive buys.. I liked them when I saw them in the store.. so I bought them. The S-he one is very lightly pinky-nude like coloured and I love the tinngly feeling when applied :) The L'Oreal one I got on 50% discount, because they are going to change the range and the new lipglosses ( more like liquid lipstick) are already available... I've got my eyes set on two shades ( one is Juliet and the other I forgot the name) from the new collection... I hope to get them, or at least one of them :)

So after being disappointed with Terra Naturi and  not so much satisfied with Avon lipsticks, I got my first MaxFactor lipstick, from Colour Elixir range and I fell in love with it in an instant! The texture, the colour, the pigmentation, the scent! I love it all :) I already got myself another shade, which I'll present to you in NEW in November post ;) I really recommend this one, if you can find a shade that fits you, go and try them :)

Also another little diamond of the month is this Coco Chanel lipstick from  Rouge Coco Shine, this summers limited edition in shade 467 Pygmalion! It looks very pink and very strong but it's actually very sheer and I love to wear it to work or just to go anywhere these days! I'm kinda into pink lippies lately and this one was perfect for me! I got it second hand but I love it anyway! :D

And my lipstick obsession does not end there! At the end of september I ordered together with my friend, also from Ličila.si and I bought this lip palette. The main reason I got it is because I wanted to play and experiment a bit :) I want to see what colour really suit me best, compare, take photos and simply have fun with it! :) I'll post a big and long story on this one and on the shades that fit me best :)

To finish up the month of my lipsticks obsession.... I got an extra 70% discount at slovenian web store Click2Chic, but since I wasn't sure what to get.. I decided to start checking up on my wishlist and I kinda decided that these two Revlon Lip butters are the best choice to get :) So now I have five all together, and I love them! Also, just by chance I stumbled upon almost empty Catrice limited edition stand, and there it was... the last lip base and I got it! :P I was thinking it might help me with all my lipsticks, they might last longer with it... I still have to try it though. :)

Also not to forget to mention - I had to buy some hair treatment products, since I ran out of the previous ones. I really love these Gliss sprays and I never had this one before, so I wanted to try it. It really makes my hair shiny and nicely looking, however, I find it a bit too greasy for me. The next day my hair doesn't look so fresh anymore and I don't know what to do about it.. I apply a really tiny amount of the product. The fluid for split ends, Gliss Kur is really a good product, does what it promises, without looking greasy and with a very pleasant scent :)

As for body care I tried to buy as little as possible, since body lotions, creams and shower gels are very well stocked ... I really couldn't resist these two though, both smell amazingly! I recommend them both, of course if your skin is not too sensitive too perfumes :)

To finish  previous month, just a quick comment on my new perfume - Queen Of Gold. As the name already suggests this one is pretty royal! I love the scent, I simply fell in love with this one and I had to have it! Since I had a bit of discount on this one I don't feel so guilty for treating myself with this one, but I try to use all my perfumes more regularly. I don't want them to get too old and smell of alcohol too soon :)
