Review: Deborah Milano 24 Ore Absolute Volume Mascara

Hello! A new week, the holidays are over... And time for a new review :) Today I'll write about a product I really like and use a lot, it's by Deborah Milano and it's a black mascara called 24 Ore Absolute Volume Mascara. I don't remember right now where I bought it, probably DM store or second hand and I am really happy that I did!

This mascara has been used almost every day for the last couple of months, basically since the day I bought it. The packaging is very elegant and simple, kind of hourglass shape, it feels very comfortable to handle. It feels strong and sturdy, not a cheap plastic that breaks the first time it falls.

It's got quite a big wand, but most of volume promising mascaras do. At first I needed some time to learn how to handle it plus it was really wet and needed to get a bit more dry, so the application wasn't too greasy and messy.

My lashes are short and very straight, so I am always on the lookout for new products that would actually do what they promise, maybe have some volume, or some lenght, or just really be black and make my eyelashes visible. This may be a better mascara for someone who already has long and curly lashes, but even on me it actually kinda works and makes me look like I have some lashes :P  This gives me a bit of length, gives them some definition, thanks to the really black pigmentation, also gives a bit of volume, but not much. All in all, I can see the difference in the mirror from my natural eyelashes to the ones with mascara and I like it. Defines, makes them pop, but not too much. Would work for a daily look or special occasions. After you scrape off the excess product from the wand, the formula is not too heavy and not too dry. It doesn't make me look like a panda after a couple of hours ( but this also depends on your make up base and concealer, setting powder....). The only problem I have are the inner lashes, where I need to be more careful not to smear the mascara all over my lids. I don't layer it too much, or even the little bit of volume I get gets destroyed immediately. Mostly I use two coats, and even when it dries it still looks really black.

Good mascara, but not that good I would actually go repurchase it. I think I have to find a lighter formula, so I can layer more and still keep the effect.

Here are some more photos for you :)

All my Black & Whites :)

Black and white is the most simple and the oldest combination of colours in any kind of simbols, clothes, jewelry and other daily used stuff. To me this is the perfect colour combination, to some it is very boring and dull. Here I present some of my unique jewelry, made with different materials in black and white. :)

These earrings were already published here on this blog, but I find them really classy, so I posted them again :) They are made of glass beads, metal caps for beads, earring hook, metal sticks and natural gemstone onyx.

These simple earrings are made of glass beads and white natural stone, but I can not find out the name and the store doesn't sell them anymore.
This necklace and earrings are made of black and white combination, I also added some purple. I used glass beads and natural gemstones - Cat's eye. The earrings are made just from glass beads :)
These are very small earrings, also made of glass and natural stone. :)
Here I used glass beads and acrylic coloured beads. This is a more grey and black combination. :)
For these I used only glass beads, but they are not heavy, even though they might seem so, since they are double :)
A bit more white than black, these earrings are made just from glass :)
Charm bracelet, I think I already posted it here under another post. Again I used just metal and glass beads :)
For this one I made three strings, than organized a chain of glass beads, tied them together at one end and knitted the strings together. I did the same for the bracelet. :)

I really love glass beads, they look so fine in any colour and combination. If  I can, I try to use materials that complement one another, and mostly I used glass beads and metal parts, sometimes acrylic. Even wood and glass look nice together, if the wood has been nicely coloured and polished. So what do you think? Would you like to wear any of these?

Thanks for reading! :)

Jewelry I made for gifts :)

This is made of glass beads only and it's not as light as it may seem, since the five big beads are quite heavy. Still it's a nice combination of big blue beads and some black ones to emphasise the blue ones.
This is also made only of glass lampwork beads in classic golden- orangy - brownish colours.
This is made of glass and natural gemstones - amethyst. Sorry for the bad photo, but I don't have any better and the jewelery is already at it's new owner. It's a combination of purple shades and black glass beads. It is also the most expensive one to make, since this are real gemstones and cost quite a lot.
Silvery earrings are made of several materials - glass, acrylic, metal beads and come metal chain. I tried to make it look lovely but at the same time something light to wear. Unfortunately if you want light materials you can not put a lot of glass on or gemstones, since those are quite heavy. I tried to make a combination that would look chic and at the same time would not look too plastic and cheap.
This necklace really took a long time to make. It is made of acrylic and glass beads. I used three strings and linked them together with a bigger acrylic bead. It took a long time to get all those tiny golden - brownish beads on, but the result is really nice. This necklace can be worn on any dark colours such as black, deep blue, deep brown, burgundy and also on simple white.

What do you think? See anything you like?  :)

Thanks for reading and have a great time! :D
